We have introduced the food waste reduction app “Too Good To Go”

NIGICHA Shinjuku Gyoen, a matcha and rice ball cafe, has launched an initiative using the Nordic-born food waste reduction app “Too Good To Go”.

While carefully hand-forming each rice ball and brewing each cup of Japanese tea daily, we sometimes have food that remains perfectly delicious but loses its destination.

At NIGICHA, we offer these items through “Too Good To Go” as one way to ensure they find their way to someone's table. This initiative isn't solely about “getting a good deal”; it's about gently spreading the mindset of valuing food and making effortless choices in daily life.

Moving forward, NIGICHA will continue striving to be a place where Japanese food culture can be comfortably enjoyed in daily life, under the concept of “Bringing matcha and rice balls to breakfasts around the world.”

※ Sales items and times via “Too Good To Go” vary by day.

※ Quantities are limited.
