Kiri Official "OniKiri" Round 2: Two Autumn Japanese Sweets — Matcha An and Kuri Kintōn Are Here
NIGICHA will be selling two types of seasonal autumn Japanese sweets from September 15 (Tue) to October 31 (Sat), 2026, as part of the second round of the official Kiri collaboration "OniKiri."
Following the well-received first collaboration in June, NIGICHA's first "Japanese Sweet OniKiri" arrives. These are new onigiri-shaped ohagi, following the "Daijouon An-Butter Ohagi" launched on September 1st.
They look like onigiri. But taste like ohagi.
Instead of the regular rice used for onigiri, these use "Dewa no Mochi," a rare variety grown in Shonai Town, Yamagata Prefecture. This 100% mochi rice ohagi-style treat is paired with matcha an or kuri kintōn an and "Kiri."
The gentle sweetness and chewy texture of mochi rice pair beautifully with the creamy richness and subtle saltiness of "Kiri." You can enjoy not only the sweetness of the filling, but also the pleasant bitterness of matcha and the rich flavor of chestnut.
Matcha An OniKiri® (Ohagi Style) | ¥480 (tax included)
Rich matcha an made from Shizuoka tea leaves is paired with "Kiri." The aroma and pleasant bitterness of matcha combine with creamy richness in a flavor that is distinctly NIGICHA.
Finished with genmai-cha powder and gold leaf, adding a toasty aftertaste and an elegant touch.
Kuri Kintōn OniKiri® (Ohagi Style) | ¥530 (tax included)
Chestnut-rich kuri kintōn an is paired with "Kiri," topped with candied chestnuts in astringent skin syrup and gold leaf.
The gentle sweetness of mochi rice and kuri kintōn an is balanced by the richness and subtle saltiness of "Kiri," making for an autumn-inspired Japanese sweet.
An Autumn Moment with Matcha Latte or Sencha
Both are individually wrapped.
Perfect for café time with a matcha latte or sencha, or try the NIGICHA way: your favorite onigiri alongside ohagi and sencha.
"Wait — is this an onigiri? Or ohagi?"
Experience the surprise of its appearance and the deliciousness of the first bite.
At NIGICHA — where matcha and onigiri meet to celebrate Japanese food culture in a new way — please enjoy our autumn Japanese sweets.
