Product Description
You can enjoy the harmony of the delicious flavors of two types of kelp in this rice ball.
First, the outside of the rice ball is wrapped with the claws (root part) of flavorful Makonobu kelp from Donan, Hokkaido. The kelp's natural flavor is concentrated, and its elegant aroma fills the mouth.
The centerpiece of the dish is a tsukudani (food boiled down in soy sauce) made with Hidaka kelp from Hokkaido, which is purchased from Tsukiji. The rich flavor and moderate sweetness of the kombu tsukudani is in perfect harmony with the Minamiuonuma Koshihikari rice.
The salt used is carefully selected for its flavor. The salt is exquisitely salted to enhance the flavor of the kelp and harmonize with the rice.
The rice is made from carefully selected domestic rice such as Tsuyahime from Shonai-machi, Yamagata Prefecture and Koshihikari from Minamiuonuma, both considered to be of the highest quality in Japan. The grains stand out and the fluffy texture and natural sweetness of the rice enhances the luxuriousness of this rice ball.
